MAHP represents 17 health plans which provide health care coverage to more than 2.6 million Massachusetts residents. In her role, Liz is responsible for strategy development and advocacy on issues affecting the health insurance industry before the Legislature and state regulatory agencies, with a focus on implementation of the Affordable Care Act. She earned her law degree from Suffolk University Law School and a Masters Degree in Public Affairs from UMass Boston’s McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. She received a B.A. in Political Science at Boston University and previously served as chief of staff for a state legislator.

MAHP’s mission is to promote high-quality, affordable, and coordinated health care in the state through advocacy, education, and health policy research. We are committed to providing access to comprehensive care for families throughout pregnancy and after birth so that individuals experiencing postpartum depression and perinatal mood disorders receive the most appropriate treatment from healthcare professionals to ensure the continued health of the mother and baby. It is my hope that the Commission will continue to raise awareness and foster connections in the healthcare community which will improve care.
